This is a must event for anyone doiig trust and estates or wants to learn!  The all-day seminar will first cover the basics of fiduciary taxation distinguishing between the various types of trusts, basic terminology, and income tax concepts.  Midway through we will shift our focus towards various examples of issues in practice – separate share, the tiered distribution system, in-kind distributions, simple trust/partnership issues, AMT, NIIT, new tax law changes, and various state issues.

About the Speaker

Christian A Klaas is a CPA and has an MS of Taxation from DePaul University.  He is a partner at Friedman + Huey Associates LLP in Homewood, Illinois. Christian also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses accounting and tax at Purdue University Northwest.
